I looked into that one time 10 years ago or so.  It was beyond what my family could afford at that time.  I was asking about a fox, but the canine thing was the problem.  It's not easy to do them, apparently.  It would be in the $650 neighborhood to do a fox.

I am going to do a "howling Dog" shoulder pedestal mount in the next few years and it is running about $600.  I imagine a full mount with any scenery would run more than the $600.... :twocents:

I think if done right they are beautiful mounts.

Does Michelle Nelson do coyotes?

So your not looking for someone else to do it?  So Zach at Rainier is going to do it, you just want to see if his price and leadtime are comparable to others?  If you are comfortable and trust that he will do a good job I don't think the cost or the timeframe should matter.  Quality and preserving the animal as I remember it is most important to me personally.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

Why not just call your guy and ask him how much?

I'd guess that he already knows.
I think he was just mining for other pricing/turnaround to see if his only does his work, known since birth and only trusted taxi was dinging him on price and time frame.    :chuckle:

Cost me about 100 bucks for the form/eyes/tanning/ etc.  Then I turned around and turned it into the most realistic 3d target a guy could own.  :chuckle:

Should be about in the 900-1000 range for a lifesize without too much basework.   (the serious answer)
